I am excited to join the LEGO Group. The mission to inspire and develop children is an important one, and I am honoured and humbled to have an opportunity to play even a small role. Our children’s future will be shaped by automation, AI, robotics and environmental changes. “For them to succeed in this new world they need to be agile, able to collaborate and problem solve and think creatively. Play and LEGO play in particular gives them these skills and will help them shape their futures.” He said at the time

He is now leaving the company to return to Kingfisher, the retail group that owns B&Q and Screwfix, where he will take on the role of Chief Customer and Digital Officer, CampaignLive reports. He worked for Kingfisher before as IT Director.

Digital experiences are cited as an important area for the LEGO Group, whether it be in interactive products such as the LEGO Hidden Side theme, or in the shopping experience, with recently overhauled after a new VIP scheme was introduced.
